Preparing Your Journey...
Day 1 was the start of my journey, and I was really excited. I arrived at Bagdogra Airport, and from there, my trip to Gangtok began. The road journey was long but very beautiful. The mountains, fresh air, and peaceful surroundings made it special.
On the way, I stopped at Tashi View Point. The view of the Kanchenjunga range was simply amazing. I also passed through Siliguri, which felt like the gateway to the hills.
By evening, I reached Gangtok. After checking into the hotel, I just relaxed for a while. Later, I went for a walk on MG Marg. The place was lively, full of lights, cafes, and people. It was the perfect way to end my first day.
Day 2 was one of the most memorable days of my trip. After breakfast, I started my journey to Tsomgo Lake. The drive itself was beautiful, with winding roads and stunning mountain views. When I reached the lake, I was amazed. It was surrounded by snow-covered mountains and looked so calm and pure.
I even tried a yak ride there, which was a fun and unique experience. It made the moment feel even more special.
After that, I visited Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir. The place had a peaceful and emotional vibe. Hearing the stories about the soldier made me feel proud and connected.
By evening, I returned to Gangtok feeling tired but happy. I relaxed for a while and later enjoyed some local Tibetan and Sikkimese food. It was the perfect end to a beautiful day.
Day 3 started with a mix of excitement and a little sadness as I left Gangtok. After breakfast, I checked out of the hotel and began my journey to Darjeeling. The drive was long but very beautiful. I saw green hills, tea gardens, and peaceful roads all along the way.
When I reached Darjeeling, the cool weather and calm vibe instantly made me feel relaxed. After checking into the hotel, I took some rest and just enjoyed the quiet surroundings.
In the evening, I went out for a walk on Mall Road and spent some time at Chowrasta Square. The place had such a charming and peaceful feeling. It was the perfect way to experience Darjeeling for the first time.
Day 4 was the most magical day of my trip. I woke up very early to visit Tiger Hill. It was cold and dark at first, but the moment the sun started rising, everything changed. The golden light on the snow-covered mountains was something I will never forget.
On the way back, I stopped at Batasia Loop. Watching the toy train move through the hills was such a lovely sight. The War Memorial there felt peaceful and respectful.
Later, I experienced the famous Toy Train ride. It felt slow and calm, but very special. The views of tea gardens and hills made it even better.
I also visited Happy Valley Tea Estate. Walking through the tea gardens and learning how tea is made was really interesting. And of course, the tea tasted amazing.
In the afternoon, I went to the Peace Pagoda and the Japanese Temple. Both places were quiet and calming. I just sat there for a while and enjoyed the peace.
If I had to describe this day in one word, it would be unforgettable.
DAY 5 : Morning at Leisure: Enjoy a relaxing morning at leisure in Darjeeling. You may visit Mahakal Temple or take a last stroll around Chowrasta and Mall Road for some shopping and souvenirs. Departure: After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station for your onward journey. The drive will take approximately 3 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
